    Again.

I just sent an email today saying that these past two weeks have had that strange, surrealistic feeling about it.  Ever since the hurricane, I feel like Alice tumbling down the rabbit hole without rhyme or reason.  I still don't know which day it is.  Apparently, it's Monday.  And my blentry (and my quarterly grades) was due in the wee hours of this morning.

I'd like to take a minute to mention a fabulous festival that I'm thrilled to be a part of for the third year in a row.  The EstroGenius Festival is an annual celebration of female voices.  Stand-up for Estro, which runs all month long, is produced by the fabulous Maribeth Mooney.  Please visit www.estrogenius.org and check out all of the events!

I was originally scheduled for November 30, but I am now on the bill for November 17, 2012 at TGB Theater, 312 W. 36th St, 3rd Floor, NY, NY 10018 Between 8th & 9th Aves, A/C/E, 1/2/3 to 34th St. Penn Sta. or N/Q/R to 34th St/Herald Square.  I'll be performing with Maribeth Mooney, Amy Beckerman, Corinne Fisher, and She So Funny Lady, Rhonda Handsome.  Tickets can be purchased at https://web.ovationtix.com/trs/pe/9704625

Back to the my blentry (HELENE, my spell check keeps changing "blentry" to "bluntly".  You need to get on top of adding the word "blentry" to the English language!)

In the interest of saving time and what's left of my mashed potato brain, I'm going to dig deep into the annals (I always say anals when I read that word, not because I don't know how to say it but because I'm just that immature) of my comedy beginnings and post something that I wrote circa 1997.

I had this alter ego when I was younger.  She was a happy-go-lucky nerd whose main goal in life was to make people happy.  She'd write complementary letters, albeit disclosing a little TMI,  to unsuspecting companies praising them for a job well-done.  Sometimes, the companies would write back.  And they'd send free shit.  So, sit back in your DeLoreans, set the flux capacitor back to 1997, and enjoy the journey.
