Hello people. It's been a busy time for me. The painting class truly left me with such great feelings of joy. When I need positive thoughts and images to push away the negative ones, thoughts of moments in the class help. Last Friday, October 9, 2026 was the opening for the new exhibit at the Bronx Museum of the Arts. Work from my class was also displayed on the lower level. My son's father attended with his wife. That was nice. I'd love to have the relationship with my son that we once had. It was pretty wonderful. The museum exhibits will be up through January 3, 2027. It's a very welcoming place. Grand Concourse and 165 Street, Bronx, NY.
The next day, the Riverside Poets had a celebratory reading and picnic to launch their anthology which is a really good one. I'm glad to say that they included three poems of mine in it. It was good to see people in person again after much zooming and emailing.

During all this, I've been sick and on antibiotics and steroids, aside from my regular stuff -- inhalers, etc. The antibiotics have been taking a big toll on my stomach. I am grateful to have gotten to my job and home without a problem. I was tested and do not have Covid, the flu, or RSV, thank God/dess.
This Monday begins a zoom class I registered for from the Bronx Council on the Arts. It's four Monday evenings. The Bronx Council on the Arts has been such a crucial and positive force in my life. This is called: Mapping Your Memoir: Non-Linear Storytelling for Memoir Writers.
I have to say, the Bronx really makes the effort to nourish its artists, all levels. I am grateful. I could use all the quality education they offer to help me along my path. Since they are funded from other sources, the classes are free. That is absolutely needed.
