September always has that back-to-school feeling to me. My part-time job leading a creative writing class will be starting up again in a couple of weeks. Last year was a good experience.
Plus, I am very excited about a class I’ll be taking at the Bronx Museum of the Arts. It is FREE, and it’s for people over a certain age. It’s abstract figurative painting. A totally new experience for me. Besides being free, the museum will provide the materials needed. This is exactly the kind of opportunity I need. It will be 8 sessions over 4 weeks. The schedule does not conflict with the job. I am so grateful and excited.
Now, for comedy – I urge you to enjoy City Island while the weather is so pleasant. Check out the quaint little shops, the restaurants (sea food and other), the view of the water, the seagulls, and then come to see the Almost Fall Comedy Show at The Artist (formerly the Starving Artist Café), 249 City Island Avenue, Bronx, NY. $15 cover/ NO minimum. You may BYOB. There is a menu of light fare and delicious desserts, tempting but not required. The show is on Friday, September 18th at 8pm.
The line-up: Jose Angel Diaz, Debbie Bazza, and Paul Hallasy, hosted by me.

The very next night, Saturday, September 19th at 9pm, I will be in Paul Hallasy’s EAT DRINK LAUGH show at Pangea, 178 Second Avenue, NYC. Advance tickets ($10 + 1.90 fee) here: https://cur8.com/23871/project/141030
$15 at the door. Pangea
separately has a $20 minimum. Let me know if you are interested in a comp'd ticket; the minimum still applies.
Big love to CGG-M ❤💕❤
