Two weeks ago, I went with my buddy to an event at Van Cortlandt Park where we, along with a small group, rode a canoe. There were many small groups getting into canoes. This event was for all ages. They usually do it for school-aged children. With life vests on, we paddled in Van Cortlandt Lake. It felt so meditative to me. Peaceful.
However, when it was time to get up, I had a difficult time standing up though I managed. Getting out of the canoe involved stepping up higher than my legs would lift me. My thigh muscles were not able to do their job. I was scared. My body just couldn’t do it. So with two people trying to help me, I managed to get on the rock but only on my knees. I crawled a few feet to allow the people behind me to get out of the canoe. Then I was on grass but still on all fours. My buddy and a woman took an arm each, and I leaned on them a lot in order to stand. Geez. That scared me enough to start doing exercises for my legs and taking the stairs up a flight more regularly.
My, my, my. I still think of myself as young-ish and pretty (though with more pounds to lose), but my body seems to have another opinion. Hopefully, I’ll get things better.
So come see this pretty, young-ish woman, who had to crawl out of a canoe, do her hilarious comedy on Saturday night! November 1st, 9pm, at Pangea on 2nd Avenue between 11th and 12th Streets, East Village, NYC. Tickets in advance are $10. Tickets at the door are $15.
Get your advance tickets here: https://cur8.com/23871/project/134577
Pangea, a beautiful cabaret room, has a $20 food/drink minimum. I hear the food is very, very good. The line-up will definitely cause much laughter. Paul Hallasy produces and hosts the EAT DRINK LAUGH show. He’s hilarious all by himself.
Hope to see you and hear you laughing!
So much love always to CGG-M  ❤❤❤
