I’m still all abuzz from the show at The Artist on City Island on Friday, 9/12. I am so happy to say it was well attended. The comics were wonderful which I had no doubt about. I have good taste. I book people who make me laugh.
Elliot Glick, who, along with Monica Glick, runs The Artist (formerly the Starving Artist Café), is wonderful to work with. He is so welcoming, and I am so grateful. They are not just a comedy show venue to me; they are people in my life who I appreciate, love sharing the planet with (specifically the Bronx), and care about deeply. Years before getting there, I had read about that place. I knew that I wanted to, needed to, and would feel like I found my people once I met the Glicks. Finally connected, and it’s been wonderful. 💕 👏 💕
I was so happily surprised by my poetry friend, a Bronx gal even if she doesn’t live here now, Joanne Pagano Weber (mainly a fine artist!) showing up with her sister. After the show, she said her laugh muscles were feeling it. I always guarantee laughter, so that felt wonderful. Check her out:

Heather Archibald and Ron Marc Trenkler-Thomson, both talented poets and supportive poetry pals, attended the show, and I was thrilled. Due to transportation, they had to leave right after the show and before I could let them know how much I appreciated their presence. More about them:
One audience member told me how she liked how different each comic was from the others. We sure are.
I love that Linda San Lucas closed the show with her wonderful song.
Two of my comics had performed there before, and one was new to the place. He loved the whole experience. I am happy with how it all went. We had a good-sized audience which was great. They enjoyed; they filled the hat; I was able to pay the comics a decent amount. I’m still all abuzz.
