I did my early voting this evening.  The site was closer to me than my regular voting site, there were no long lines, and everyone working at the site had a beautiful attitude.  Plus a very nice looking man working there gave me a big smile as I was leaving.  So it was an uplifting experience.

And since I prefer a president who cares about us and has never been accused of rape, I’m in this final fundraiser on Saturday night.  All ticket sales ($10 in advance; $15 at the door) will be donated to Act Blue for Kamala Harris’ campaign.

A stand-up comedy benefit for Kamala Harris. Scheduled to perform: Jose Angel Diaz, Allen Enlow, Dana Friedman, Bob Greenberg, Paul Hallasy, Lisa Harmon, Susan Jeremy, Allan Landis, Mindy Matijasevic, Rob Sajous, Michelle Schwartzman and Gladys Simon.
$10 cover in advance, $15 cash cover at the door. In addition, there is a $20 per person minimum (food or beverage, credit cards accepted).
Doors open at 8:45pm and seating is first come first served. Please arrive early!
Buying tickets online is the only way to guarantee a seat. ADVANCE TICKETS ON SALE HERE: https://cur8.com/23871/project/126690
ALL COVER CHARGES WILL BE DONATED TO ACT BLUE FOR KAMALA HARRIS.

It’s an opportunity to donate, eat, drink, and laugh all at once.  Please vote, then pray, meditate, or whatever you do.

And if there is an island of garbage floating nearby, it’s probably from thousands of someone’s Big Mac Combo Meal litter.  I’d bet my rent money that he doesn’t recycle.  That would involve a conscience and caring.

One candidate’s spouse doesn’t even want anything to do with their shit anymore.  Not naming names, so if the shoe doesn’t fit, don’t squeeze your foot in it.

For the very first time in my life, I cared about the World Series.  GO YANKEES!!!  I’m happy for them, their fans, and The Bronx.   Coming up from under – that always thrills me.  It’s in sync with the Bronx spirit.

Have a safe and fun Halloween.  🎃

    Constant love to CGG-M  ❤💕❤

  2. Humble Pie By Rhonda Hansome

    Thursday, October 22, 2015

Comedy has a unique way of keeping me humble.

When I left comedy, I had no perspective on the success and equity I'd earned, working major casinos, resorts and numerous network talk shows.

I've returned to a fractured, multi-producer system, nothing like the mercurial monster of my heyday.

My objective now is no longer being as funny as possible, but to connect with the (ever growing number of) independent comedy producers (many very young-but when you are my age, everyone in comedy is young!) dominating the scene now.

I obviously need a tutorial in how to talk to these folks, because every thing I say to them results in an immediate shutdown and nearly no possibility of collaborating with them.

"I don't work with new comics."
"Have 17 comics who work here recommend you."
"Send me your HBO special tape."

Every producer/booker is entitled to her business as usual, automatic response.

Being an overly sensitive (Cancer) sign of the zodiac, I hear these replies emotionally

    and take them to heart.

    BUT

the saying of the day is, "Go hard or go home!"

So I'm putting on my big girl panties,
    digging in my (not so high) heels for another day;

while I truly appreciate those who recognize me.

    It's a game.

I don't even know the rules or referees.
But I'm going to have fun playing no matter who's calling the shots. So, come join me in the fun...
Or later the same night catch my
    TRUE LIFE
    very scary storytelling at
